 Property tax is the only source of revenue for infrastructure development, civil administration, social sectors and to finance other services in each municipal corporation. Each municipal corporation has different sources of property tax including Personal Tax, Government Land, Commercial/ Industrial/ Residential buildings etc.

 The Board of Revenue, Karnataka is a statutory body for collection and management of the taxes under the jurisdiction of Government of Karnataka. The Department is a Constitutional Authority approving a variety of applications. Our vision is to increase citizen services using latest technology and protect revenue collection through enhanced e-governance initiatives. Our mission is to enhance service delivery by governance initiatives in coordination with other stake holders within the limits of delegated responsibilities.
